I have HT this morning. Princess is at work and Axel is doing a photo shoot.
The boy is in the play pen singing along with a "Gaither Homecoming Tour" on TV and having a good time. I just hope I can remember to tell his daddy. Axel is all about rock/hard rock.
Wouldn't it be fun if HT grew up and sang in a Southern Gospel group.
I can't say that I am a big fan of SG, but when they all get together on a Homecoming show I do enjoy those.

HT also has a new tooth. The top right one and the top left is just about to pop out. He is such a smiley guy that you don't have any trouble seeing them.

Here is how the cruise came to be.
Every three years we get to join Grandpa & Grandma M&M on vacation. So far we have been to Colonial Williamsburg, Va (loved it) and Mammoth Cave Ky. nice golf courses and caves in all sizes.(no love lost)
This year I wanted to go to Tucson. My family had been there in the 60's and Pa and I have been watching lots of cowboy movies lately, so I just wanted to see it again.
There are golf courses so it was fine with Pa. I got the maps out and planned out the route and was all set.
We went home for Grandma M&M's b-day party and was going to finalize the plans with them. After telling G-ma she said that would be OK, about half hour later Grandpa ask, listens and says "No that's to far".
We picked out another spot and couldn't get it, that's when Grandpa says "You know what I would really like to do"? What? "I would like to go on a cruise". To which I told him "Get over it cause it's not going to happen. I'm not getting on no boat with nothing but water around me".
Grandpa got this look and after a while I said "Lord, I can't do this but you can so I'll do it." A hour or so later we are booked on a cruise.

Is Tucson really so far away?

Is it Fall

Even though fall has not arrived yet, there are times in the day that I think it has.
The little people are in school again. I don't like this, I'm all in favor of Monday after Labor Day to Memorial Day for school.
I say that but our Homeschooling went year round because it help Bubba and Princess. Guess it's the whole going to a school house in the dog days of summer that I don't like.
Then all these doctor visits that I usually set up in the fall, have had to be done early. I'm not sure what I will do with Oct. now that this is out of the way. Guess I will have to go on Fall Brake with Art and gang.
Bucka and Grandma you may want to start getting the hotel ready. Uncle Gick how about a hayride?

I need to get my mind back on today. I have things to do and no desire to do them. If I don't get busy I'm going to run out of time and Grandpa & Grandma M&M will be here and I won't have anywhere to put them. I could set up the tent but at 100 degrees it may be to hot to camp out in the back yard.

Pa and I get to go with G&G M&M on a cruise to the Western Caribbean the first of Sept. I know I told you I would tell you about it but not now I got to get busy.

Were am I now

I just finished cruz'n through a bunch of blogs. I'm trying to get an idea of what's been going on in blogland while I was gone.

Ang, have a great vacation. If the kids start to get to you, just make them count telephone polls and tell them that it will be REALLY dark before you get there.

Zann what does WWHLT mean? I was never good at reading lips and now I have to learn how to read computer. I don't know if I can.

Does learning ever really end?

Grace, Your new house looks real nice and I'm glad you are getting better.

I loved your story about Bee and the eye doctor. It reminded me of my childhood and a shot that I was not about to let the doctor give me.

Dad was with me, I got the shot and more when I got home.

Hallyville, love your bedroom. Pa and I had one almost the same color way back when. I would like to use the color again someday.

I caught up on most of the family when I was with FarmWife and Pa's family.

It doesn't seem like I have been home very long, but it as already been 2 weeks.

Right off I saw Princess, Axel and HT. Oh my has that boy grown. He is 10 months and 22Lbs. He has changed so much in just 6 weeks. He is still a flirt and has such a big laugh but he has added shaking his head no and pushing out his lower lip. He has also started crawling and wants to stand up all the time. The best is the lower lip.

Got to spend time with Art and the gang and have gotten school up dates almost everyday. Mr.C A is giving the teacher a run for the money. He must be the talk of the teachers lounge by now.

I have been going to see doctors, dentist and more doctors just to get all the usual check-up's done. Tomorrow I get my botox shots and that should do me for the next few months. The botox is for headaches not vanity.

In between the check up's Pa and I have been shopping, lots of shopping. We get to take Grandpa and Grandma M&M on a cruise next month and so we have to get ready. I will tell you more about that later. For now it is just nice to get caught up both here and on the farm.

My Million dollar Mom

When I was a teenager the "Million Dollar Man" was a TV show that my brothers watched. I watched it because Lee Majors was the star. He had been hurt and became a government experiment for body parts. The new superman able to do just about anything. So very unreal to me.

Now my mom is part of the bionic crowed.

From the moment FarmWife told me grandma was having her knee replaced it creeped me out.

I thought the doctor would cut her bones off above and below the knee and stick this huge mess of metal were the knee had been. I thought she would be recovering the rest of the summer.

Well as it turned out, all he did was take a small part of the bone, that had been destroyed by the arthritis, and fitted a cuff over the leg bones. The knee hooked into the cuffs some how and ta-da a new working knee.

How it all goes together and works turns out to be kind of cool. Mom even got to keep her knee cap.

She was up and walking in just a couple of days. In two weeks time the doctor told her she could drive.

She wisely waited until she could get by without her pain med's. Driving and sleeping don't go together well. She could have driven off into a cornfield and we wouldn't found her until harvest.

I still get creeped out when I think about it, but I'm glad mom is able to move around a whole lot easier and without a lot of pain.

Who knows she might just have a new hobby now to.

Setting off metal detectors.

She could be the reason for the long lines at airports.

Home

Well what shall I tell you about my new granddaughter.

She has dark hair that may just stay that way and although you can't see any I'm hopeful that there will be just a touch of curl.

She is wonderful just like the rest of them.

She is more like her mama then the others. She has feet just like Farmwife's. We use to go to St. Louis to buy shoes for those tiny little feet but Mr. Markemson has long since closed up shoppe.
So if she follows in mama's footsteps, it will give them a reason to go to the Big City a couple of times a year.

I had a great time with the little people. Swimming, sleepovers and games. We all won lots of Domino's and Go Fish. It was great if you play by their rules everyone wins.

I enjoyed being so close and am all in favor of Pa buying a house up there.
I think it would be great if Princess's, Bubba and Art's could all just move up there too. Then I wouldn't have to miss any of my babies.

Pa you could find a new job. You could be the sticker guy at Wal-mart. Do you think we could live on your pay? You could take up trucking with Uncle Gick.

FarmBoy could put in a Big garden and all the little people could help take care of it.

We could get a dog.

I am glad to be back home. I missed Pa.

Pa is my best friend and dearest love. Talking on the phone just isn't the same as talking face to face.

I missed the others too!
