Do you have a favorite rhyme?
Farm Wife had a book of nursery rhymes and she loved it. She loved it so much that I could read it with out looking.
A diller, a dollar,
A ten o'clock scholar;
What makes you come so soon?
You used to come at ten o'clock,
And now you come at noon.

Yeah, and when am I going to get that book back?
I remember one about a pocket...what was that one? I always loved the picture of the little girl and her pocket.
It's not really a nursery rhyme, but it does rhyme...my current favorite is brown bear, brown bear, what do you see...?
coming in a close second, and hannah's favorite rhyming book is...
who has hoppy feet?
we have hoppy feet!
we hop, hop, hop
and cannot stop
we hop all day
we hop all night
whoops, we hopped right out of sight
then we hop, hop, hop
to our lilypad
for hugs from mom
and hugs from dad!
I've got it!!!!
Lucy Locket lost her pocket,
Kitty Fischer found it.
Nothing in it,
Nothing on it,
But the binding 'round it.
That's my favorite & it's taken all day to remember!
Someday
we had this pop-up book of Nursery Rhymes that I just looved when I was little. I do believe my favorite was always.
There was a crooked man
who walked a crooked mile
he found a crooked sixpence
beside a crooked style
he bought a crooked cat
who caught a crooked mouse
And they all lived together
In a crooked little house.
There is just something wonderful about rhyme. So good for remembering stuff.
how bout this:
peas porridge hot
peas porridge cold
peas porridge in the pot
nine days old
some like it hot
some like it cold
some like it in the pot
nine days old..
I love it keep thoses rhymes coming.
